Thread: sometimes my voice just disappears?

i can be tlaking normally and sudenly my voice goes all raspy and horrible or ill cmpletely lose it and then five mintues later ill cough and itll come back. how can i stop it ive got french speaking tests coming up and i cant have it happen during the test!!!

Good day My name is Tanneth.
I am 20 years old from south africa.
for the past 7 months now.. after a "social- weekend" my voice disappears for about 3-4 days then comes back again. but then just to disappear again the next weekend.
i dont scream and shout, just have normal conversations and have a few drinks, etc.
it is a MAJOR problem. i am an internal Sales rep and i speek on the phone on a day to day basis. it also effects my personality as i believe that without a voice i cant really be myself. it HURTS to talk,,, PLEEEEASE HELP ME BY GIVING ME SOME ADVISE!!! ive been to the doc and he has given me medicine that does not help!!!!! i am so fraustrated and in pain>>>>> plssss help lol!!!
