    Freud, dying of cancer, said, "I am a tiny island of pain floating in a sea of

    indifference". Do you feel so? SOme say this is life not death. DO you agree? Which are you? A tiny island of pain floating in a sea of indifference - or a tiny island of indifference floating in a sea of [mental] pain.

    I've noticed that some people don't have anything they can identify as mental pain, or maybe don't know that they do. For others, though living Thoreau's "Iives of quiet desperation," life not death is the dreadful ordeal. This is not a pleasant subject but covering up normal mentation isn't nice either..

    Yes, sometimes I feel that way. However, that is the depression talking.
