If a person wanted to commit suicide, but wanted to make sure that their children were left to their spouse as well as any property etc., how long would they have to wait after signing a will etc.?

What I mean is, if someone committed suicide and they left behind a will, would the court find it invalid because they weren't in their right mind?

It is a possibility that could always be fought out in probate but it is very unlikely unless some one in the family was greedy and just generaly a bad person. Except for some extreme circumstances the childern and property will always go to the spouse if that is what is stated in the will.

No idea... but suicide is never a good idea... if you are talking about yourself please seek help ASAP.. if you are asking for a friend .. please seek help for your friend ASAP- if you are just curious.. I would ask a lawyer you specializes in Wills- they would be able to give you the best most accurate answer
