    Is exercising 3 days a week enough to lose weight?

    im 5"11 now 217 lbs, i went down from being 220lbs last week. last week, i walked 3.5 miles 3 days and lost that as well as changing my diet. Is walking 3.5 miles 3 times a week enough to help me continue losing weight? or should i walk more often? thanks a bunch!

    Good ideas guys, thanks

    Simply, the more you walk, the more weight you'll loose.

    So, start off at 3 times a week, then slowly build it up to 6 times a week, then maybe increase the distance, then slowly start increasing the intensity, ie start jogging, then running.

    That's enough, but try upping the intensity once in a while, so your body wont adapt. Also do other exercises sometimes, like biking or swimming. (;
