I keep experiencing the same knee pain?

I am 17 years old and I frequently injure my knee. If I'm doing something like basketball or dancing, my knee will twist and it will buckle. It hurts a lot when it happens. I can sit for a while and massage it and then I can get up again. I then limp for the next day or so. I wasn't worried the first time it happened but it's been happening often for 3 years now. It hurts on the inside of my knee and when I straighten my knee, the top(kneecap area) hurts as well. After a day or so I feel fine until it happens again.

your joints are most likely the problem after running around or dancing, if you are expriencing any pain, ice the area for half an hour then 20 min off. repeat for about 2-3 hours
