How can i convince my dad?

I'm thinking of telling my dad to buy me weights but go to the doctor before lifting so i can make sure everything is alright,

How can I tell him that i want to have weights and to go to the doctor?and sometimes he thinks my questions r stupid or a bad idea Plz Answer n thanks!

just tell him u want to for sports [football or sumtin]

if i were you i guess that i would do what i could without the weights... set goals and make them obvious to your dad... such as, weight loss, excercise, etc... make them realistic... when he sees that you are serious about your health, and that you are achieving your goals, he will probably be more willing to take your seriously... my parents were the same way growing up. good luck
