sex, period 2 days later...a month later no period = pregnant?

ok, i had sex with my ex-husband right before he left for rehab, we had an emotional night, a reconnection, it happened...2 days later i got my period, all seemed normal, i was happy as i thought that meant no possibility of being pregnant. now a month later i am missing a period.

i have not had sex since that night, is it even possible that i am pregnant? like the day after my period was supposed to start i got a pinkish discharge and then nothing...no period...but my breasts were sore before that, i really felt like i was getting my period...

any thoughts?

If you had your normal monthly period when it was due (not just a bit of spotting) then you cannot have conceived simply because there would be no egg in your fallopian tube at that time in your menstrual cycle. Women generally ovulate 14 days before their period is due (mid cycle) and if the egg is not fertilised it is reabsorbed about 4 days later. This triggers a hormonal change & your womb lining starts breaking down & your period arrives around 10 days after the egg is reabsorbed. So 2 days before your period was due there was no egg in your fallopian tube so you could not have conceived this close to your period.

Your period is late, it happens. I expect you will get it in the next few days. Late periods are very common, in the old days doctors would not do a pregnancy test until you were 10 days late, this was so they didn't waste money doing tests on all the women who were just late for some reason other than pregnancy.

Have you ever heard of implantation bleeding? Because this definitely sounds like it. Were you supposed to get your period 2 days after? Was it different than the usual? MANY pregnant women report having a pinkish discharge instead their period. You should take a test today. If it comes out negative and you still haven't gotten your period in a week, take another test because right now it might be too early to get a positive result. Good luck

Highly doubt that your pregnant...sounds like your period is just late this month take a test if your really concerned about it but it may just be stress causing it to be late...best of luck
