I am taking amoxicillin for a strep throat and i'm still not better. is...

...it something else? I started taking the amoxicillin pills on Friday. I am 16 and get strep throat about once a year and it goes away no problem. I spent the weekend on the medicine but i have horrible sinus congestion which i didn't have before. my throat is still a little sore and i am wondering if i could have something else. Usually strep goes away after a day or two of being on meds. any input would be greatly appreciated.

It could be thrush. Have you had unprotected sex with anyone recently?

Maybe you have nodules. They could be small, as in not big enough for surgery. Go to a throat doctor and have the test done if it doesn't go away. They're painless, just a bit uncomfortable
