I love to have sour foods, but people arround me keep saying it is bad for brain. Which part?

well, i have heard a lot that spicy food is good 4 ur metabolism, so sour food could possibly b good 4 ur brain... i mean idk....im not a freakin rocket scientist like my g-pa...
