I have a wonderful boyfriend and the topic of sex has come up a few times... He is a proper gentleman and has offered to supply birth control in the form of condoms. Should I still go on the pill to prevent any 'mishaps'. If so, what type would be ideal. I have a light to regular period for five days at the end of the month with hardly any pain and I am a virgin... Please help!

yes go on the pill. It is nice you have waited till you have someone special. And it is wonderful that you are so sensible.
