Question about Working out/Bodybuilding - 10 Points best answer?

    Hey all.

Recently did a work out (No weights involved - but get same effect with weights) just using a chest expander & power twister bar.

I know that after a work out, to avoid stiff muscles and cramps etc you have to stretch, so I did, but my muscles still feel tight and stiff, but don't ache or anything, so I'm wondering why it still feels like that even though I stretched? Never thought about it until now but I get the same feeling with just about every work out I do.

The feeling you're getting is commonly know by bodybuilders as "the pump". Whats happening is when you work out, your body sends extra blood to the muscles you're working. Because the muscles are filled with blood, they feel tighter and stiff. Its usually a sign that you got a good workout ( when i feel it, i usually go back and throw another set or two in )
    Hope this helps.
