I have substantial stretch marks across my hips, buttocks, the tops of my thights, and my inner thighs. I am a 20 year old female, 5'2, 110 lbs, and have had them since age thirteen. I am not overweight, but I am a little thicker than I'd like to be on the lower portion of my body (butt, hips, and thighs). I have decided that I'd like to get more in shape, and have been taking several exercise classes and runnning daily since the beginning of january. I have already begun to notice my body getting more toned, and was wondering if weight loss is going to affect my stretch marks. I know that stretch marks have to do with the elasticity in a person's skin, and that when a person loses weight, their skin sort of shrinks to fit their new shape, but since my skin obviously has poor elasticy, will my stretch marks become more noticable, or less?
