If I already got my before pictures taken & had my initial visits a year ago....?

I am almost 17 and I went in about a year and a half ago to get braces. When I went in I brought my teeth X-rays and I talked to him a little about what I wanted and what my problems were, including a overbite along with 5 other things. I got my before pictures taken and I just needed to make a appointment to get the braces on. However, I never made a appointment and here I am a year later wanting to get my braces on. Will I need to go through the same process all over again? If I have perfectly healthy teeth, can I just make 2 appointments, one for him to view my teeth and talk again and one to put the braces on? Thanks!
