I am writting a book called "When The System Fails You." The very last chapter I am including warning signs of becomming a paracide offender. I think I'm going to advice that if someone is showing any of these signs they need to go to the emergency room to request to be evaluated and hospitalized. So if a teen came in to the E.R. with a check list and they had checked one or more of these things, what do you think would be the doctor or nurses reaction?
1) I have drawn art work of family members names on tombstones.
2) I have written Poetry about hurting my parents.
3) I often stand in the door way in the morning hoping that my abusive parent died in his/her sleep.
4) I have made verbal threats to attact my parent back and/or threats to harm myself if the abuse doesn't end.
5) A friend or a reletive has suggested to me that my life would be easier or their life would be easier if my abusive parent was dead.
6) I Idolize or show speacal interest in a violent offender on the news who killed his/her parents?
7) I have thrown things at my parent and told him/her to die.
8) I have made plans to kill my abusive parent.
I just need to know what the respons would be so I can give them an idea of what to expect. Can they avoid talking to a cop or going to jail? Could they just be hospitalized some where?
