Is it bad if I don't take protein shakes/powder or anything protein bars when weight lifting? I've never taken them and I don't intend to. I eat fish, chicken, and other meat, and also skim milk, is that enough? I eat about 60 grams of protein daily or a little more. I have you need to take at least 1 x weight =grams of protein daily, but it's impossible for me to take that much as I do not have enough money to buy whey protein. Will it affect me if I don't take any type of protein other than food? I have been working out for a while but my muscles seem to not be getting harder, and I don't seem to be getting stronger. I workout every other day.
