I have to make an appoinment with my GYN to get cryotherapy due to severe inflammation on my cervix. I was told by the doctor that there is no dyplasia and this is the earliest stage but that she didn't think it would go away on it's own so she recommended me having it after my next period. Thing is I read somewhere that it could possibly go away on it's own and the cryotherapy may be unneccessary in this case. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, is it true that you cannot wear tampons for a month afterward? I can go without sex for a while but no tampons with a period, I don't think I can handle that, especially when I read somewhere that the first period after cryotherapy can be heavier. Plus, for those that had this procedure, how much of the discharge is normal? Is it really like water? And does it in fact have an odor? Sorry, lots of questions here. And lastly, why am I letting this get to me? I mean I seriously feel like I am going to have a nervous breakdown!
