Thread: negative side effects of using hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash?

I have some questions about using diluted hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash:

1. what's up with the black tongue thing? Why does it do that? & How do you prevent it?

2. I've read somewhere that you should only use it for a week, but in reply to that someone said its ok to use it 3 times a week only. Is that true?
