my gum is swollen on the side. twards my cheek and it hurts to move my jaw a certain way. why is it swollen like this? is it normal.

Yeah, wisdom teeth can hurt for no reason. Its something you just sort of have to live with unless you want to get them removed.

It sounds infected. You should go see an oral surgeon right away.
