Is my shoulder/upper arm out of it's socket?

I woke up today and my arm/shoulder was VERY sore. My ribs started hurting last nite befor emy arm... BUT it popped good enough for others to hear it the first time Ilifted it with my other hand.... I can't extend my arm or it REALLY hurst and ditto for lifting.... It feels weird, not normal and smooth when I lift it.... I'm just happy I can type but it does cause some pain....

    HELP?

could it be a pulled muscle?? The pain doe seas a bit when I relax my arm and it is not hanging or in mid air. In other words when it's supported(I.E. laying on a table), unless I move it on the table and then it hurts again. Half dull/sharp pains. Sharp when moving dull when not

If you can move it, it's still in the socket. It sounds like it was dislocated, but back in now. Ice it and try not to strain yourself and it'll feel better
