A while back, I fractured my rib or pulled the muscles in or around it..

I have the same pain, which started a week ago. I think it's due to over-exertion. However, I can't exercise because it hurts when I breathe heavily.

Just to give you an idea of where the pain is located: slightly below my right breast.

What can I do to alleviate the pain and/or make it dissipate?

I know you may not be a doctor .. but help from someone who has experienced this, would be greatly appreciated!
