Thread: My jaw hurts so bad. Should I see a doctor?

The right side of my jaw has hurt for over a week now. It's really painful. It hurts the most when I try to open my mouth wide but when I open it all the way it stops hurting. It's also pretty painful to bite down. It has caused me to eat less. I do grind my teeth and have crooked teeth. I don't have insurance but would go to a doctor if there was anything to be done to help. I just don't want to waste a bunch of money. Any help?

You won't be wasting any money by having a doctor check this out. Any painful condition that lasts this long should not go unchecked.
