So, I am trying to lose weight. I am eating 5-6 times a day, small meals of around 300 calories each. I am finding myself to be low on energy. Now here is the question. I know that I am eating a lower amount of calories than i normally would if I were trying to maintain weight, but shouldn't I have energy if I have this excess fat on me? I am just trying to understand the science behind weight loss. I know it takes 3500 calories to lose a pound but why am I not getting energy from this excess fat that I have. 10 points to the best answer. Thanks all.
