Injured hip flexor.. how do I fix it because I need to run?

So Im training for my first half marathon that will be in September, Im 21 years old, use to be very overweight, and I have lost over 70 pounds. I use to not be able to run a single mile, but now Im at about 10. Recently my left hip flexor has REALLY been bugging me when I run, and I dont know how to make it better or whats wrong with it. Its a sharp pain at the very top of my leg and right below my hip.

    Any suggestions?

Don't push it too hard!! I was in track in high school. Started having pain just like that but kept pushing through it. I ended up causing a stress fracture in my hip. Best advice is to get it checked out and in the meantime, don't aggravate it more.
