Thread: I'm really afraid..!?

I am getting ready to start my period in a few days,and,I'm thinking about using tampons.I've never,ever,used them before,and i am terrified.Well,the reason i'm terrified is that my aunt told me,that hers got stuck and she had to go to the ER and get it removed.& my mom,said tampons gave her horrible cramps.Most of the time,the blood is heavy,and i have such bad cramps,i have to miss school! So do you think i should try using a tampon,and see if i like it,and see if it doesn't give me bad cramps? Thanks! Oh,and BTW i'm 13,and I always have anxiety about bleeding-through at school,and will tampons help? Thanks,once again!

i'm also scared, and almost 13. i wouldn't use them. you should just use more than one pad at school. i bleed through at school. twice. you don't have to do anything you are not comfortable with!
