Thread: I'm looking for information on Vicodin?

I have found info on this site and many others but not exactly what I am looking for. I take maybe 2 vicodin a day, 4 or 5 days a week. And its not a permanent situation---I am post-surgical. But I have noticed a symptom which every resource says is impossible and I am trying to find more information on: Hallucinations. Or maybe there is a different term? Shortly after the drug sort of wears off, I am usually asleep or trying to. I see things as I awaken that are not really there---as soon as the light is thrown on or I am fully awake all is well and the images are gone. But its frightening when this happens. I am not on any other medication except for blood pressure meds. Linsipril and proprananol. Any thoughts?

Well, hallucinations ARE a side-effect of Vicodin.

My aunt was on vicodin after surgery and she had some hallucinations too, she would call us some times and start talking about random things so I think it's a common side-effect.
