I'm 40 years old. I've had these fillings in my back teeth forever. Just now I noticed a little piece of something sticking to my back tooth. It was a little sharp. So I used my fingernail to pick it off. And OMG it's a piece of my filling! It's very small like a grain of sand. I just had my teeth cleaned about a month ago and got a clean bill of health. I don't have paranoia about having my teeth cleaned but I DO have paranoia about having them drilled into, pulled, filed, etc... Is this something I need to worry about? Do I need to do something right away?
And yes, I'm certain it's a piece of filling.
P.S. I have no dental insurance.
