im DEVASTATED. Told I have genital herpes after 11 years of celibacy. Ive

just met a man. How do u tell him? I have not been with a man in 11 years. My ex cheated on me through most of our relationship, and I'm a pretty smart lady, but it never even crossed my mind that the "one" little sore that I got, at the most 2 times a year, could be an STD!! I have FINALLY met a great guy who I was considering becoming intimate with, so I went to the doctor to have a tiny little, but potentially embarrassing, skin tag removed from my inner thigh. I've had the thing for like two years, and never really cared that it was there till now. I asked if it could be something passed to me by my cheating ex, and she said no, but said since she was doing blood work for anemia anyway, she'd order a test for what I now know was for the Herpes Virus. My knees literally almost buckled when she called me to say the test was positive. Im profoundly shocked and saddened about this! And." HOW THE HELL CAN I TELL NOT JUST THIS MAN, BUT ANY POTENTIAL SEXUAL PARTNER, THAT I HAVE AN STD! I just can't do it. I mean, I KNOW that I have to before I ever have sex with anyone again, but right now, I think Im just not going to have sex at all. WOW!! Is this really happening?

wow....bummer and a buzzkill all at once. I knew this girl one time in florida who got drunker than she should have one night and caught herpes and lost her virginity in one fell swoop while passed out cold in the bathtub. The sad statistic is.....1 in 4.

the chances are 1 in 4 that ol dude is thinking the very same thing. Dont worry....its not like you grew a penis or anything....wont kill you and obviously wont make you nearly as uncomfortable as it will horrify you. The horror will be short lived i assure you.

You do what you always do when you life hands you lemons. you grab the old baseball bat and practice hitting a few yellow citrus homers over the fence.
