A couple years ago I wanted to lose weight, and went from not exercising at all to heavy (2 hours a day) cardio workouts, and along with a super healthy diet, I lost weight. After I reached my goal I stopped the hardcore diet, but continued to exercise the same amount, just so I could maintan the weight loss and feel good overall. It's been a couple years and I've maintained the weight, but recently I've put on a couple pounds I want to lose. My question is, if my body is already really used to hard-core exercising five or six days a week, will I still lose weight if I start monitering my calories and the like? I know exercise and healthy eating go hand in hand, but I'm clueless about this. It just seems hard for me to believe that I'll lose weight just by my food choices considering my body is already so used to exercise now. Could someone explain how this works?
