if i'm on an extreme diet, would it affect my period?

i eat vegetables and fruits and sometimes rice with meat. if i continue to diet extremely, would it mean that there would be less chances of getting my menstrual period? Or does it mean that I won't have my period anymore? what should i do? i still need to have my period???

Yep, extreme diets will affect your menstrual cycle as well as all your other bodily functions. I don't know why anyone would knowing do such a thing!

Although, a diet rich in fruits and vegetables with occasional meat might not be such a bad thing. One would have to know how much food and what varieties you were eating before they could make an assessment.

The amount of body fat you have will affect whether or not you have a period. If you're still in the normal range, you will. If you dip to far into anorexia, you wont.
