OK so when I was about 8 or so, I stepped in a hole and twisted my ankle pretty bad. As I got older, every so often, I'd twist it again. Well lately, I've twisted it 5 times in the last 6 months. I say 'twisted' cause I can still walk on it, though painfully and with an obvious limp, but I don't need crutches like with a sprain. Tonight as I was walking to my car my ankle bent and it twisted again. It's like I step wrong or something and my right leg (it's my right ankle) tries to compensate too much and it buckles.

But this has to be doing some permanent damage to my ankle, right? Like is it possible that one good time it's going to bend all the way and break? Will I be more likely to have arthritis in this ankle when I get older? Any info would be great. Especially info that might help me STOP twisting it.
