Thread: I have uncontrollable drool?

I am a normal, healthy 40 year old woman, exercise regularly. I do not have any speech problems or anything wrong with my teeth. I only have uncontrollable drooling all the time . every time i speak, drool pours from my mouth, and it seeps between my teeth. its disgusting, I have asked my doctor but he said there is nothing wrong, I just have more than usual. It has become so bad that i have to change my pillowcase every day. It is worse at night, but always is present. Help?

Sounds like you have overactive Salivary glands.
You could try sipping water with lemon juice or cider vinegar in it, this will act as an astringent, but be aware that you should clean your teeth after because the acid in these can eat away your tooth enamel.
Do you chew gum?
That can cause saliva production, as can "mouth-fidgetting", the mouth will think is is eating something & start producing saliva & other enzymes.

Look up uses for Botox.

Rule out these causes or take treatment for-
Intestinal parasites, Hyperacidity, using toothpaste with some strong contents like antiseptic.
