I just recently found out I have bowed legs.
I never knew what it was, so I just assumed I never had it,
but when my friend informed me that I did,
I researched it on the internet, and I found out iI did indeed have bowed legs.

My friend says she loves it, and that it's really cool,
but I don't think so.
I always knew my legs looked different from others, but I just assumed that was they way they were supposed to be.

My mom says that I shouldn't worry about it, and that everyone loves bowed legs. (Sigh, moms.)

I run track and my coach is always getting on my technique. I'm starting to think this could be the reason. I'm also have issues with my shins; they hurt when pressure is applied.

I read a lot of people with bowed legs are at risk for athritis and joint issues, and of course, I don't want that.

So, is being bow legged a good thing, should I be looking into correctional surgery, and can it effect my running?
I'm 14, by the way.
