I was recommended to protein shakes, but I feel unsafe consuming such synthesized products. How many should I eat before I work out, and how many should I eat per day? Will eggs be a good substitute for a recovery drink? Also, isn't it best to consume boiled eggs, rather than over easy eggs? I don't eat raw eggs because they're far less digestible than cooked eggs, plus cooking the eggs helps to prevent infectious bacteria such as Salmonella typhimurium from entering the body. In simple terms, cooking the egg kills the bacteria which may, or may not reside in the egg. Thank you in advance for your help.
