I just had a root canal treatment on Wednesday. The procedure went well... did not feel any pain(being that i was numb), but my dentist said i might be sore for a few days and to eat soft foods(milkshakes, soup, etc.) Also, he put a temporary filling in untill it heals, and when it heals properly I have to go in and get a crown put on it..he said it would be 10-14 days. I was just wondering if anybody can tell me about how long will I wait before I can actaully chew food again? I tried chewing food today on the opposite side and it was fine, and I guess I'm just a bit apprehensive about chewing on the side which I had the canal done. there's still a little bit of pain, not much though. Also, what about brushing?? I've been brushing my teeth but just been steering clear of the tooth where I had the root canal. is it ok to brush it?? somebody please help
