How can I get more sleep?? I have refused medication as I don't want to be on anymore meds. I have not slept more than a few hours (meaning about 3) each night since the end of July. I just want to sleep, but I have nightmares, or wake up in tears, and then can not get back to sleep. I have tried numerous things, but really I think the only thing is to drink a lot of alcohol but I don't really want to do that either. Anyone have any suggestions??

I have tried melatonin, and some other sleep aids. I am on xanax which I am told makes you tried- not for me.
