She is on hospice for congestive heart failure and has good days and bad days but had a really bad day today and only drank maybe a cup of water throughout the day. She has a fever and needs liquids and also is really skinny and needs nutrition and all she was able to eat today was one egg. But my mom and aunt (my aunt is the one with the authority to control grandma's care) wont tell hospice to give her an IV because she said she doesn't want one. She doesn't have Alzheimer's or anything but she doesn't really know whats going on because of the morphine and I don't think she's in a position to make medical decisions. I know this wont cure her, but its just wrong to deny her something that could help her, even if it just made her more comfortable. Please help because I could never live with myself if she died sooner because she was dehydrated/malnourished!
