Thread: High index lens for glasses: does the manufacturer make a difference?

With strong prescriptions for short sightedness and astigmatism, can the manufacturer of the lens make a difference in tolerance or distortions?

Across different makes, does the same level of high index result in the same thickness of lens when applied to the same prescription?
