I am a 19 year old female who is very out of shape and fairly overweight. Diabetes runs through my family so it is especially important that I lose some weight.

The only problem is I have some kind of breathing problem. Basically I can run about half a block before I feel like I can't breathe. I don't know what it is and I know it is not just because I am out of shape because I have had this problem even when I was in good shape. My doctor won't test me for anything because I am overweight. Could some suggest an exercise plan that would get me into better shape without impairing my breathing.

I have really bad spring allergies so I don't really like doing much outside at this time of year.


Oh and I can't go to a gym but I do have an elliptical trainer/exercise bike and free weights.
