Help! I'm on the BC pill, but I think I could still be pregnant?

I started taking birth control on December 28, 2008. From what I was told, it takes like a full month for the pill to take full effect. So, my boyfriend and I didn't have sex until I started my second pack of pills. Here's what been going on and why I'm worried:

--It was around Jan 15, 2009 that I started to breakthrough bleed, yet I still had 3 more days to go until I got to the placebo week on my pills which started the week of Jan 18 - 24th. I think the bleeding stopped on Jan 22nd, if I remember. I started my second month of pills on Jan 25th. Because of the breakthrough bleeding I'm afraid that I still ovulated.

--I have never missed a dose on my pill before. I take it religiously, and always remember to take it around the same time everyday like I'm supposed to.

--The very first time we had sex was on January 31, 2009. We used a condom, and that night it was uncomfortable, so we gave it a try without the condom--He didn't ejaculate inside, maybe some precum, and was only in me for probably less than a minute without it. He said I shouldn't worry since I remember to take my pill correctly, hopefully he's right.

--We had sex a couple more times and a condom was used for the entire times.

--Yesterday, my breasts started feeling a little sore again and I'm more tired than usual and getting p*ssed off for no reason. I read that these are pregnancy symptoms and can start as early as one week after sex. I'm so scared that I got pregnant on that fateful night of Jan 31, 2009. So, after I left my boyfriends place earlier tonight, I bought a home pregnancy test. When I read the instructions, it said to wait a day before your expected missed period (mine is supposed to start on Feb 16th) and that testing too early can give a false negative. So that means I have to wait till then to take the test.

It's going to be the longest f**king week of my life!! Is there anyway I can find out sooner? I don't have insurance, since I'm only a seasonal employee that's been looking for a full time job, so I don't know what to do? Can I still be pregnant if I've been using my pill correctly?

Well the whole purpose of the pill is to protect against it.
I have heard of it happening tho. I would try the shot its so much better, easier and worry free. I really dont think your pregnant tho. It will be okay. You can go get a blood test some clinics give them for free. It will detect any pregnancy hormone in your blood stream. I've taken one. Its not bad just a little blood does the trick =] Or you can get one of those digital preg. tests that say pregnant or not pregnant in words they work up to a week before your missed period. =] Goodluck hun I hope you get what you want =] Muah much love
