Thread: HELP! I have BROWN Vaginal Discharge :(?

Can someone tell me what's wrong with me? I'm 15, a virgin and i'm getting a brown smelly discharge with a "fishy" odour. Its bothering me so much. I wash and shower, and wipe myself after using the toilet but after a while the smell comes back. Its not ovbious when walking around fully dressed, but when i'm naked the smell is certainly there. I'm a little overweight but i've had this discharge since i was about 12-13 but it got worse about a year and a half ago. My periods are irregular, but that could be due to the fact that i'm overweight ADVISE?? PLEASE??

First answer above is unusually thoughtless. As a virgin you can't have an STD. I would go to your doctor as I think you may have an infection.

I actually get brown discharge quite often (my periods are irregular due to the contraceptive pill), it's just tinged with old blood from your period. I would maybe be a bit worried about the smell though, I think it would be worthwhile mentioning it to your doctor or nurse, just incase you have thrush (which is common, easily treatable and every woman gets it at some point!) its old blood or cuz your period is ending. thts what happens to me..the blood gets mixed in with the discharge causing it to be like that..

It is called endrometreosis. Nothing to be afraid of. It means that your body is not getting rid of all it need to when you have a period. You need to take care of it with a doctor. He/ she can help. It will not go away on its own.

go and talk to your docter and get tested for std's or it could be an infection that keeps coming back

yeast infections can become a problem when not treated immediately. If you are overweight then you are probably eating greasy food that don't help your problem. My advice is that you start drinking plenty of water and less sodas. See your doctor because this is not normal. A yeast infection is supposed to be white discharge.

Eating greasy foods and not plenty of water can cause some yeast infections.
