Is this healthy? Im not sure....?

On January 1st of this year I weighed 170 pounds... Im only 5'6" so that was unhealthy... (But I have lots of muscle so I only looked like I weighed about 140). I want to get to 130 pounds... so I've been cutting calories and excersizing when I get the time. Right now I weigh 152 pounds, so I lost 18 pounds in a little more than a month. I heard somewhere that youre not supposed to lose more than 8 pounds a month... so is this unhealthy or is it ok since I was so heavy before?

This is fine and there is nothing to worry about. Although, do expect your weight loss to slow down as your metabolic rate will slow down accordingly to your calorie intake. If you do continue to lose weight just as quickly in the future months, keep your exercise regime the same, but increase on carbs. This should slow down your weight loss - which is important as if you lose weight too quickly it is very easy to put it back on, even without over eating, which leaves your body in a vulnerable state. My advise is, that you are doing fine for now, although if you continue to lose weight this fast, do as said above for a long term benefit.
    Hoped this helped! x

you usually lose more at first because you lose water, but you should find it slows down a bit from now on, if it dosent, just increase the amount of calories you have each day so that you still lose weight just not so much,
