Has anyone tried Magnesium to help with anxiety and panic attacks?

I am having a lot of anxiety attacks and a couple of panic attacks. My Dr prescribed zoloft, but what do i do in the mean time, while it is getting in my system. i read about Magnesium, and B6 and B12... has anyone tried these things? What works for you? Please, I need some advice.

Also, i just had a baby four weeks ago. and i am not nursing.

I've been on medicine for five years, and as i believe it helped, I believe its also a lot of mind tricks. Anxiety is probably one of the worst feelings in the world, i really reccommend stepping outside yourself for a few seconds, checking if the situation really calls for the amount of stress your putting yourself through, and relax knowing you will do as much as you can and that's the best you can do. Medicine can help, but you have to be in the right mind set, try and be strong .

I honestly don't know about the magnesium, but the vitamin b in high doses should be great, also herbs known for calming chamomile should be worth a try

no, im on xanax and effexor xr.
but, magnesium is needed for hundreds of your body's basic functions, including regulating your heart and blood pressure and helping to metabolize sugar and fats. It also helps your nervous system and combats such problems as insomnia and anxiety.
    so it should help :]

    best of luck to you.

apparently magnesium on its own its great. it will reduce your blood pressure and not make your heart race or throb so much. it also relaxes you. you wanna get about 250-300 mg of mg a day for a female.
