I just had my lungs collapse last week and I just had the tubing near my lungs taken out today. The doc told me it was caused by blebs (air pockets) that burst and caused my left lung to collapse. He said it's common amongst tall, skinny teenagers. I'm really not that tall, only 5'11" and weigh 150 lbs. Has anyone else on here ever had this before? What was it like for you? Did you get it again and needed surgery? I was told if it happens to you once, there's a 30-50% chance it could happen again. I'm just worried I won't be able to play sports the way I used to because of this. This fucking sucks, and I missed nearly a week of school!
