Thread: Has anyone given a kidney?

My father is in need of a donar and of cousre I am being tested to see if I am a match. I just want to talk to someone who has been through this surgery as I am a bit nervous about surgery now. I have had many before but my last one was a gallbladder removal and I got a really bad hospital infection. I just want to know the risks that are involved and what the recovery period is like. Thanks to anyone who is willing to help!
