Thread: Extraction..........now???

Ok, I had four wisdom teeth taken out last Friday....I still have a bit of soreness..which I'm ok with. Tonight I started biting my tongue on the right side. Obviously, it's inadvertant........has this happened to anyone? It hurts and my tongue is swelling and I'm biting it....

It's not uncommon. Your brain has a pretty good "map" of your mouth, and that map has changed.

Learning the new "landscape" takes time. Until then, rinsing with warm salty water can help your tongue heal a bit faster :-)
