For several years I've been a heavy user of Q-tips/ear buds to remove ear wax.
Only recently did I realize that it was bad for me. Apparently using Q-tips only pushes the wax deeper into the ear canal and closer to the ear drum.
And as result I don't hear very well in my left ear (if I cover up my right ear and try to use the left on its own, the difference is quite significant).
A few days a go I visited the local clinic and the doctor prescribed ear drops which I've been applying for 3 days now.
Today I went back to the doctor to have the ear wax flushed out but it didn't help. He used water at high pressure to force the wax out but nothing came out.

The ear drops didn't help. Tomorrow I'm supposed to go see a specialist but I'm starting to get worried.

Is there a chance that the wax can refuse to come out ?

Will I have this partial deafness forever ?
