Thread: Does it hurt to have stitches removed?

My husband cut his finger open and had to get stitches and now he's worried t might hurt when they take them out.Mine didn't hurt after I had my son but I don't know if it's different for fingers.

No it doesnt hurt at all... It feels slightly uncomfortable and weird, but its over before you know it

It won't hurt, as long as they don't try and pull the knot through the hole, which they shouldn't. I take my own stitches out, I can feel it but it doesn't hurt at all.

Ive had stitches many times and its never been more than slightly uncomfortable at the worst. Its never hurt to get them out.
