    does being vegan help you lose weight?

    im already vege but i wanna lose 10 kilos so would being vegan help??? or anything else iam willing to do whatever it takes.

    definately. you dont have to be vegan to lose weight but sinc eyou are its definately beneficial because it means you are taking in a lot more vegetables, fruits and grains than the average diet.
    it doesnt mean you can eat anything you want though...soy is good for you as a protein source but it also contains a lot of phytoestrogens that help hold onto fat. good protein sources can also come from nuts (a handful a day) and quinoa (i think is one of the best) which both have great health benefits and dense in nutrients.
    the best way for a vegan diet to lose weight is eating all your fruits and veggies raw since it raises your metabolism by using up more energy to digest and break them down.
    also make sure all the fibre you take in is from veggies and 100% whole grain.

    I didn't lose any weight when I was vegan or when I was a vegetarian. The only thing that changed was the fact that I had to take an iron supplement each day if I wanted to... you know, not die.
