Thread: Does anyone know anything about amnesia?

I'm writing a book about a person with amnesia... yeah, I know, creative, eh? Anyways, no snide comments.

So what exactly do they remember? I know they remember things they learned, such as French or playing the piano, but do they remember who the president is? Who Mickey Mouse is?

Would they remember anything about religion? For example, if they had been an Orthodox Catholic, would they automatically think of God and Mary in that way, without knowing how they learned it?

Does anyone know any places where I can research this? I already looked it up on Wikipedia.com and About.com. They weren't that helpful.

I'd tell you but I don't remember.
