Do vitamin B12 shots prevent or stop vomiting from drinking alcohol?

My girlfriend told me she had once drank about 10 shots of vodka and started vomiting, so her friend gave her a vitamin B12 shot in her butt and within 30 minutes she felt good and had stopped vomiting. I wonder if it works or she was lied to about it being vitamin B12.

It was probably coincidence. People who drink excessive alcohol chronically can become B12 deficient, as well as deficient in a number of other things. . thiamine, folate to name a couple. . . But no, it won't prevent vomiting anymore than placebo as far as I know.
